What is Sinners?
Sinners is a one-woman show conceived, written, and performed by Rachel Shull. A deep dive into mental health, religion, sexuality, and country music fandom, Rachel takes us on a riveting ride as she sets out on a dangerous quest to either a) become Dolly Parton or b) commit suicide.
Part stand-up comedy, part performance art, part ritual sacrifice, Sinners keeps its audience suspended on the razor’s edge between laughter and tears. It lovingly explores what it means to make art that is both dangerous and kind, while asking all of us to reflect on the lengths we’ll go to save our own lives.
